Monte Vista Christian School recently hosted a week of Theatre Camp for Bay Area kids in grades K-8. In less than 20 total hours, participants of this camp prepared a production of Disney’s Frozen KIDS that wowed audiences full of parents, grandparents, and friends. Participants ages 4 to 13 were able to perform on the mainstage in the impressive Don Price Performing Arts Chapel, the newly opened Morgan Hill area performing arts auditorium. This yearly theatre camp gives younger students a sneak peek into the middle school and high school theatre opportunities that await students in grades 6-12, who attend this California school. The robust drama and music programs at this Watsonville school offer classes in dance fundamentals, drama, scenic design, studio acting, and theater arts pedagogy, preparing students to participate in plays and musicals throughout the year, as well as preparing them for a successful future in the performing arts.
