The entire Monte Vista Christian School community is grateful for God’s provision of a shining new jewel on campus—the Don Price Performing Arts Chapel. The 450-seat, $10 million facility opened in 2020. This high school and middle school performing arts theatre in the Gilroy area was named for Don Price, who led MVC for 38 years and longed to see a chapel/performing arts center on campus. The beautiful new high school theatre in the San Jose area includes two large classrooms, a fully-equipped stage, and state-of-the-art sound and lighting. The space hosts middle school and high school plays and musicals, chapel services, school gatherings, and community events. Monte Vista Christian School is a private school in the Bay Area that includes a robust middle school and high school theatre program. MVC is committed to achieving excellence in fine arts instruction, both in visual and performing arts. Nearly 60% of our student body participates in these opportunities. In the words of one MVC parent, “My four children are all different, but one thing I love about MVC is that there is an artistic opportunity for everyone. My son learned he loved ceramics. My daughter has developed her singing voice, and she also turned into a budding photographer. Our whole family enjoys the plays and concerts, and the quality of last year’s art show was simply stunning.”
